Ongoing project
adBrain is building an agentic AI assistant for an independent engineering, fabrication and coating company serving the global energy production and processing industries. The system generates answers to incoming email, searches across the company’s project documents, and assembles the supporting evidence, so teams spend their time on decisions, not on hunting through records.
The challenge
Energy-sector fabrication is intensely document-driven, and much of that record is safety- and compliance-critical. The answer to a query is usually in the record. It sits spread across contracts, technical specifications, fabrication and isometric drawings, requests for information (RFIs), material test certificates (MTCs, the mill documents proving what a material is), inspection and test plans (ITPs), weld and non-destructive-testing (NDT) records, coating specifications, purchase orders, and months of correspondence. Finding it, and reconstructing the trail, takes hours.
What we are building
- Grounded email reply drafting. When a query arrives, the agent retrieves the relevant documents and drafts a cautious, source-backed reply. The team reviews and sends; the final judgment stays human.
- Document search across the project record. Ask in plain language and the agent searches the entire loaded record, returning answers linked to the specific source documents.
- Evidence and traceability assembly. For an issue that spans many documents (a specification, a drawing revision, a material certificate, an inspection record), the agent pulls the relevant trail together in minutes, which matters where material and weld traceability must be demonstrable.
- Governed access. Attribute-based access control ensures the agent only ever surfaces what the requesting user is permitted to see: essential across joint ventures, subcontractors, and commercially sensitive client work.

By grounding every answer in the company’s own record (and keeping the final judgment with the team), the assistant is safe to use on commercially sensitive and safety-critical work.
As an ongoing engagement, the scope is expanding as the system proves value on the company’s live projects.
